Ok, then it is always set to the same hardware address obviously. Mine
reads the same:
glaubitz at z6:~> /sbin/ifconfig |grep HWaddr
br0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 04:4b:80:80:80:03
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 04:4b:80:80:80:03

Obviously not a good thing :/. At least we should know where the
address can be found in the ROM image to correct it afterwards.
Btw, there is supposed to be an AWARD flash utility from the mainboard
vendor which allows to re-set the mac address. Have you tried this
one? I think AWDFLASH.EXE can be used with a special option for that.

Well, I didn't know that so I started to panic a bit since my machine
wouldn't come up again. It didn't boot until I reset the CMOS.
But good to know that my board still works well ;).
