I was fearing that this would be the answer because I actually use it
for flashrom and this needs to be solved in some way or another when we
switch. One possibility would be to just keep it until all important
stuff is gone but I guess that is not an option for you and Stefan?

The other would be to push the related changes to the new system. It
would be quite some work (I don't have all of the foreign patches in my
local git) but it would have the advantage to 1) bring them into a
applicable and reviewable state, 2) test if the switch attracts any
reviewing activity.
