[flashrom] Release numbering and branches

IIRC the criterion for 1.0 is/was having a new and well-working layout
engine. So if we get that merged, the next version will indeed be 1.0.
For releases after 1.0 it does make sense to go for 1.1, 1.2 etc. unless
we get some other major feature merged and make it 2.0.

You do have a point. I have no strong preference as long as the scheme
is not too weird.
